Dear Parents and Guardians:

Being a child today, especially a teenager, is arguably more difficult than when we were kids. Hardly a day goes by that we don’t read or hear about an incident involving child abuse, dating violence, or the impact of excessive “screen” time. Safety of our children has taken on an importance in ways many of us never expected and requires all parents to be vigilant and safety minded.

While Frontier Charter School’s purpose is “Helping Parents help students take personal responsibility for their learning,” and we fully understand that parents have the responsibility and privilege of raising their children, we believe we can be a resource to parents as they home educate and raise their students in a safe environment.

To help parents learn how to protect their students, we have 3 workshops on January 27th at Frontier Charter School that we believe parents/guardians will find of value:

  • The “Screenagers” explores the impact of screen technology on KIDS and how to help them find balance around screen time.
  • How to keep kids safe from sexual abuse.
  • Dating violence awareness
  • In addition, we will have a class for students that have an interest in babysitting/child care professionalism and safety.

If this sounds interesting to you, please join us.
